Angry Birds Seasons is part of a very successful franchise. The first game in the series was originally released for the iOS platform (for iPhone). It quickly became a hit, gathering millions of downloads so the developers made it compatible with other platforms too. That increased its popularity even more so it finally made its way to the PC world.
The objective of the game is to shoot some birds with a slingshot, and kill the enemies (a bunch of pigs). You have to calculate the right angle and find some weak spots in the buildings to bring them down and kill the enemies. There are different types of materials with various properties. In addition, you have different types of birds, each doing its own thing (e.g. there is one that explodes, one that acts as a boomerang, one that inflates, etc).
The graphics of the game have an animated type of look and they are attractive. The music is very nice and matches with the season that you are playing. Sound effects are also well crafted.
Like the rest of the series, this game is extremely fun and addictive. It sounds like a cliché, but this software really deserves the praise. Most people will have a hard time stopping once they have started. It constantly makes you curious about how the next level will look like and it keeps you interested by increasing the difficulty, changing the setting, giving you new types of birds and so on.
The physics engine deserves the blame for most of the fun in the game. Considering the animated setting, it is very realistic and works well all the time. Finding that weak spot in the ingeniously created buildings and seeing it all go down on the enemies gives you great satisfaction. Intelligence or luck is required.
The free demo allows you to play only the first three levels in every episode. The game is so cheap that even kids can afford it so you will not have a problem buying a license to activate the full version if you like it. Have fun!
